Alamir CPA & Associates was built by three licensed CPAs — Ali, Hoss, and Nima — who wanted to create a different kind of firm.
We had all seen the same pattern from the inside: firms that were technically competent and functionally unreachable. Clients who only heard from their accountant in March. Business owners making six-figure decisions with no one to call.
So we built a firm around being available. We work with a deliberately manageable number of clients, we handle three services rather than twenty, and the person you hire is the person you talk to.
Responsiveness is the reason most of our clients came to us and the reason they stay. It is a standard we manage to, not a slogan.
Tax planning happens throughout the year, while decisions can still change the outcome. A return filed in April can only report what already happened.
In plain language, without the jargon, and without making you feel foolish for asking. If you have a tax problem, you are not the first and it is not a character flaw.

Partner | Tax Resolution Lead
Ali Alamir, CPA is a partner at Alamir CPA & Associates, where he leads the firm’s Tax Resolution practice. He helps business owners and individuals resolve complex IRS and state tax problems, including notices, liens, levies, audits, payroll tax issues, and Offer in Compromise cases.
Ali began his career in 2006 at Moss Adams in Los Angeles, where he provided tax and attestation services to multi-state clients in entertainment, manufacturing, retail, distribution, real estate, and medical professions. In 2009 he joined a local CPA firm in Woodland Hills, focusing on full tax, accounting, and business management services for corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. His experience later expanded to software developers, technology companies, restaurants, and food manufacturers throughout Southern California.
With nearly 20 years of tax experience, Ali brings a practical, hands-on approach to resolving tax problems and stays involved until the matter is closed.
Ali received his Master of Science in Accountancy from California State University, Los Angeles with honors. He is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS).

Nima Aminian, CPA is a partner at Alamir CPA & Associates, where he leads the firm’s Tax Strategies & Advisory practice. He helps business owners and high-net-worth individuals with proactive tax planning, tax compliance, and practical business advisory services.
Nima began his career in audit, working with large government entities including the County of Los Angeles and the City of Ventura. He later joined LGSH, LLP (one of the largest CPA firms in the San Fernando Valley), which subsequently merged with Citrin Cooperman. Throughout his career he has worked with clients across professional services, healthcare, entertainment, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, and restaurants.
With more than 15 years of experience, Nima focuses on understanding each client’s business and financial goals, identifying tax-planning opportunities, and providing practical guidance before important decisions are made.

Hoss Alamir, CPA is a partner at Alamir CPA & Associates, where he provides strategic financial leadership to growing and middle-market businesses as a fractional CFO and financial advisor. He is the author of Cash in Control: A Practical Guide to Understanding, Predicting, and Managing Your Business Cash Flow and the creator of the Cash In Control software platform.
Hoss graduated with honors from California State University, Los Angeles and began his career at BDO, where he built a foundation in tax and financial reporting. He later moved into financial accounting and CFO services at Signature Analytics, supporting executive teams with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI tracking, and operational decision-making.
Cash flow is at the center of Hoss’s advisory approach. He helps leadership teams improve financial visibility, build reliable forecasts and budgets, optimize operations, and make confident, data-driven decisions. His frameworks include the cash conversion cycle and 13-week cash flow projections, which he also built into the Cash In Control platform that integrates with QuickBooks Online.
Hoss is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
